Murder And Mayhem In Goose Pimple Junction is the first book in a series of humorous southern mysteries set in the fictional town of Goose Pimple Junction. In it, Tess Tremaine and Jackson Wright attempt to solve a seventy-five-year-old murder. Murder And Mayhem was launched on August 5, 2012. In February 2013, the book made it to Amazon's Top 25 Best Sellers for Women Sleuths (even dropped to #2!) and Top 100 for Mystery. Amy made it to the top 100 for Most Popular Mystery Authors. For more information on this book and to read the first chapter, please turn the page or click here.

"A Right Good Choice" is a short story set in Slick & Junebug's Diner. The folks gossip about Pete the Greek and his new girlfriend, who they think has questionable morals. Should someone tell Pete? This purely-for-fun story is available for free on Readwave.com.

At Locust Grove is a photography coffee table book of Amy's favorite place in Louisville, the national historic landmark, Locust Grove. It includes pictures of the house and grounds in all four seasons...at Locust Grove. At Locust Grove is due to be published in 2013...hopefully.

Heroes And Hooligans In Goose Pimple Junction is the second book in the mystery series. This book picks up four months after the murder and mayhem of the first book. Now the zany town is troubled by a serial thief, a stalker, and a murderer, making the new police chief busier than a set of jumper cables at a redneck picnic. The manuscript is now complete, and is in the querying process.

Rogues And Rascals In Goose Pimple Junction, the third book in the series, is about the perils of being a Southern Belle. Caledonia Culpepper thought she had enough to worry about just trying to be a good Southern woman, until she is kidnapped and left for dead in the woods. And then worry takes on a whole new meaning. Chief Johnny Butterfield will be busy once again, trying to find Caledonia, her would-be assassin, and the killer of a rogue publisher who is found brutally murdered.

Waxman is a thriller set in the deep south, about a young serial killer who disguises himself as an old man. He counts on the fact that most people will stop to help an infirm old person. And then he strikes. Private Investigator Kate Pepper and FBI agent Sam Mulrooney hunt him down.

That Would Taste Better In Your Mouth, is a children's book about Louie, who is a very picky eater. This picture book is complete, and looking for a publisher.

A Blue Million Books is Amy's blog that features author interviews, character interviews, guest blogs, and book excerpts. An expression used particularly in the South, a blue million means an infinite amount. She hopes to host a blue million authors and spotlight their books. In other words...a lot. There is a campaign supporting local business in Louisville, called Keep Louisville Weird. Amy wants to remind people to keep authors weird too.

About the author

Picture

Amy Metz attended Centre College and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught first grade until her first child was born, and then motherhood and volunteer work took up her time. When her mother was diagnosed with dementia in 2009, she turned to writing as therapy. Needing an escape from life and from the memoir, and desperately needing to laugh, she began writing a humorous southern mystery that eventually became Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction, and an author was born.

Amy has been richly blessed with two sons--an adult, and a teenager, and a daughter-in-law. When not actively engaged in writing or spending time with her family, Amy can usually be found with a mixing spoon, camera, or book in her hands. Amy's debut novel, Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction, was published in August 2012. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky. Contact Amy at: amy@amymetz.com
